EPA 2010 and Beyond

We Know the Future

To keep you running profitably while diesel engine emissions regulations change, you need a reliable engine platform won't become obsolete every few years. The Detroit Diesel DD15™ platform lets you use the same fuel-efficient and fun-to-drive technology today that you'll see in 2010, with BlueTec® SCR additions that we've already designed and tested. Rather than wishing for the "good old days," we've been engineering for 2010 and beyond.

All Detroit Diesel engines sold today meet the EPA 2007 requirements.

Detroit Diesel has planned for the past several years to use BlueTec Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Technology to meet EPA 2010 requirements.

Detroit Diesel Environmental Policy

At Detroit Diesel, environmental responsibility is more than simply satisfying the latest emissions requirements. It's a commitment to continuous engineering and refinement of all Detroit Diesel engines — the never-ending pursuit of innovative technology that improves the on-highway experience for our drivers, and minimizes the impact on the environment we all share.

To that end, we will:

  1. Establish environmental objectives and targets that consider environmental aspects as an integral part of our business decision-making process.
  2. Commit to comply with applicable laws, regulations, permits, company policies and other requirements to which we subscribe.
  3. Promote conservation of resources by recycling materials, reusing packaging, remanufacturing products, conserving the use of raw materials, energy and water, and reducing the generation of waste from existing and future operations.
  4. Develop employee knowledge and understanding of environmental issues related to job functions, communicate the environmental policy to all employees and make it available to the public.
